The Gairloch Highland Gathering takes place adjacent to the campsite on the first Friday and Saturday of the Highland school holidays every year. This is the busiest weekend of our season so booking in advance is essential. Caravans only in the caravan area during this weekend. Due to the number of people on site there will be increased noise over the weekend.
Sands is a family run campsite situated on the beautiful west coast of the Highlands of Scotland with unsurpassed views of the Isle of Skye and Outer Hebrides. Sands is the ideal location for the holiday of your choice and perfect for exploring the best of Wester Ross, with the famous Torridon mountains to the south and the world renowned Inverewe Gardens to the north.
Bring your own caravan, motorhome or tent and set up where ever you wish within the designated areas. Whether you choose a sheltered spot amongst the sand dunes or a raised pitch with unrivalled views, our large spacious site has something for everyone.
Don't fancy having to set up a tent on arrival, then our large and small wooden camping pods offer heated comfort in all weathers.
Prefer some luxury, then we have five caravan holiday homes and two luxury pods. The caravans sleep 6 and the luxury pods sleep 2.
